Website: https://analytics.networksurvey.app

  1. Visit https://analytics.networksurvey.app/signup?plan=starter
  2. Create an account

Free Tier:

  • 50,000 records (plenty for testing and small surveys)
  • 1 workspace
  • 1 device
  • No credit card required
  1. Log in to NS Analytics
  2. Navigate to Devices
  3. Find the “Register Device” button
  4. QR code appears on screen

QR Code Contains:

  • Workspace ID
  • Authentication token
  • Server connection details
  1. Open Network Survey app
  2. Tap (menu) → NS Analytics
  3. Tap Camera icon (QR scanner)
  4. Grant camera permission if prompted
  5. Point camera at QR code on computer screen
  6. QR code scans automatically
  7. Success message appears
  8. Device is now registered

What Happens:

  • Network Survey connects to NS Analytics
  • Device serial number sent to workspace
  • Device authentication token is generated stored locally on your device
  • Staring an NS Analytics survey will now sync data to the cloud

Android automatically generates a unique serial number for Network survey when it is installed on your device.

This is different from the hardware serial number set by the manufacturer. Instead, it’s a random identifier created by Android specific to the Network Survey app.

Viewing Your Serial Number:

  1. Menu → Settings
  2. Scroll to bottom
  3. Find “Device Serial Number”

This serial number identifies your device in NS Analytics workspace.

Once registered, The NS Analytics Details screen has toggles to enable/disable data sync for each technology.

When enabled, data collected during surveys automatically uploads to NS Analytics in the background.

If disabled, data remains local on your device and does not sync automatically. Use the “Upload Now” button to manually upload data.

Sync happens when:

  • The specific NS Analytics survey is started
  • You have internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular)
  • You haven’t exceeded record limits
  • Auto-upload is enabled (or manually via the “Upload Now” button)
  1. Menu → NS Analytics
  2. Check connection status:
    • “Workspace Registered” - Successfully registered
  3. View registered workspace name
  4. See last sync time
  1. Log in to NS Analytics
  2. Navigate to Devices page
  3. Your device appears in list with:
    • Device serial number
    • Device name (if set)
    • Last seen timestamp
    • Data statistics
  1. Menu → NS Analytics
  2. Tap “Unregister from Workspace”
  3. Confirmation prompt
  4. Device unregistered

What Happens:

  • Stops syncing new data
  • Authentication token removed
  • Previously synced data remains in NS Analytics
  1. Log in to NS Analytics
  2. Devices → Select device
  3. Click “Deregister”
  4. Confirmation prompt
  5. Device removed from workspace

What Happens:

  • Device can no longer sync
  • App still has token (but invalid)
  • Need to scan QR code again to re-register

To move device to different workspace:

  1. Unregister from current workspace (either app or dashboard)
  2. Get QR code from new workspace
  3. Scan new QR code in Network Survey
  4. Device now syncs to new workspace
