PLMN lookup

PLMN lookup is a reference tool for identifying mobile networks. Look up an operator by its MCC-MNC (PLMN) or search by country, operator, brand, or ISO code.

Open it from More > Tools > PLMN lookup. The lookup uses an online service, so an internet connection is required.

PLMN lookup in Search mode with T-Mobile typed, showing 31 results sorted by MCC-MNC, such as T-Mobile Magyar Telekom Plc in Hungary at 216-30 and Magenta T-Mobile Austria GmbH at 232-03

The screen has two modes, selected with the tabs at the top.

A single text box that matches across country, ISO code, operator, brand, region, MCC, MNC, and TADIG. Start typing (at least two characters) and results update as you type. Use this when you know a name but not the numeric codes.

Two numeric fields for the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code). Entering a 3-digit MCC and a 2 to 3 digit MNC resolves the exact network. Entering at least 2 digits of an MCC with no MNC lists the matching operators; entering at least 2 digits of an MNC with no MCC searches by that network code.

Results show the operator name and its MCC-MNC, with the country flag, name, and ISO code. You can:

  • Sort the list by MCC-MNC, Country, or Provider.
  • Expand a group when several operators share the same MCC-MNC.
  • Tap a result to open its details.
  • Long-press a result to copy the PLMN to the clipboard.

The details screen groups the information into sections:

  • Identifiers: PLMN, MCC, MNC, and TADIG.
  • Provider: Brand and Operator (shown together as Brand / operator when they are the same).
  • Location: Country (with ISO code) and Region.

Long-press any value to copy it.

The help button in the top bar opens an “About PLMN fields” sheet with these definitions:
